Medal Madness 5K, 10K, 13.1M : South County Regional Park, Punta Gorda
Medal Madness at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda is a multi-distance running event organized by US Road Running. The event is staged at South County Regional Park, 670 Cooper St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The course surfaces are asphalt and temporary bathrooms are located by the starting line. Parking is available by the baseball fields.
Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race starts. All entrants must register on RunSignup; on-site registration is not available. The event includes finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume feature, series points, and awards. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Distances and course formats:
- 5K : uses a 0.78 mile one-way segment; the out and back (1.56 miles) is run two times.
- 10K : uses the same 0.78 mile one-way segment; the out and back is run four times.
- Half Marathon (13.1M) : uses a 1.09 mile one-way segment; the out and back (2.18 miles) is run six times.
