US Road Running - Punta Gorda
The US Road Running event in Punta Gorda features multiple distances held on an asphalt course at 670 Cooper Street. Participants can choose between three different race lengths:
- 5K: An out-and-back route completed two times.
- 10K: An out-and-back route completed four times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back route completed six times.
The 5K and 10K utilize a 0.78-mile course layout, while the Half Marathon follows a 1.09-mile out-and-back section. There is a general time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants to complete their respective distances.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins. Facilities include bathrooms situated near the starting line, and parking is located by the baseball fields.
Participants receive finisher medals upon completion. The event also features a best costume competition, and runners can earn points through the US Road Running series.
