Event details
The Viking event takes place on February 7, 2026, at Shamrock Park, 3900 Shamrock Dr, Venice, FL 34293. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The event has a course time limit of 6 hours. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards are part of the event program.
Course and logistics
The start is located on the path behind the Nature Center. The course surfaces are a mix of concrete and asphalt. Bathrooms are located in the Nature Center.
Course layouts:
- The 5K/10K course is an out-and-back of 3.11 miles; the 5K uses the out-and-back once and the 10K uses it twice.
- The Half Marathon/Marathon course is an out-and-back of 3.28 miles; the Half Marathon uses the out-and-back four times and the Marathon uses it eight times.
