Event Overview
The Haunted race series takes place at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan. Organized by US Road Running, this event offers multiple distances on an out-and-back course. Participation requires pre-registration through the RunSignup platform, as no on-site registration is available on the day of the event. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the official start and concludes 10 minutes prior to the first group departing.
Distances and Course Layout
The event features four distinct distances, each utilizing a repetitive out-and-back format:
- 5K: A 3.11-mile out-and-back completed one time.
- 10K: The 3.11-mile out-and-back course completed two times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back route completed four times.
- Marathon: The out-and-back route completed eight times.
Race Logistics
There is a total course time limit of 6 hours for all participants. The race is part of the US Road Running series, allowing runners to earn series points. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a best costume award is presented at the beginning of the event. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their chosen distance.
