Dragons in the Woods : Holt, MI
Dragons In The Woods is a trail 5k run/walk held on October 17, 2026, on the trails of Birchfield Park in Holt. The event is in its thirteenth season and is organized as a community trail race at 881 Grovenburg Rd, Holt, MI 48842.
The course uses natural park trails and is offered as a run or a walk over a distance of 3.1 miles (5k). Registration opens on 2026-04-30. Standard entry pricing is $25 through 2026-10-04 and $30 through 2026-10-16. Group and family pricing is available for up to four participants at $85 through 2026-10-04 and $95 through 2026-10-16. T-shirts are guaranteed to registrants through 2026-10-08; shirts may be available after that date while supplies last.
Awards are given for Overall and Masters (40 and up) in both male and female divisions. Pint glasses are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group. Age divisions are 12 and under, 13-16, 17-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, and 61 and over.
All proceeds from the event benefit Island City Academy, a charter school in Eaton Rapids. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted during the event and on the event website.
