Dragons in the Woods
Dragons in the Woods is a trail run held on October 17, 2026 at Birchfield Park in Holt, Michigan. The event includes a 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles) on park trails and is described as a trail race that accommodates running and walking participants. The race is noted as being in its 12th season.
Registration opens on April 30, 2026. Early individual pricing is $25 through October 5, with a higher individual fee in the period that follows. Group or family pricing is available for up to four participants at a bundled rate of $85 through October 5, with a higher group rate in the subsequent registration period. T-shirt availability is guaranteed for registrants through October 9 and is available while supplies last after that date.
All proceeds benefit Island City Academy, a charter school in Eaton Rapids. The event offers awards for Overall and Masters (age 40 and up), for both male and female categories. Pint glasses are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 12 and under, 13-16, 17-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, and 61 and over.
