Capital City Dia de los Muertos 5k Run/Walk/Roll
Capital City Día de los Muertos is scheduled for October 24, 2026 at Granger Meadows Park in Lansing, Michigan. The event is presented by Footprints of Michigan as a community celebration that recognizes Day of the Dead traditions and cultural diversity. Participants are encouraged to wear traditional Día de los Muertos face paint, flowers, and related attire. The program is described as family friendly.

Registration details note a pre-registration deadline of October 16; pre-registered 5k entrants pay $40 and receive a Día de los Muertos T shirt. After the pre-registration date the 5k fee is $45 and T shirts are provided while supplies last. The kids run registration fee is $10; children in the kids run receive a medal, bib, and goodie bag.
Packet pickup is scheduled at the Footprints of Michigan office at 3010 W. Saint Joseph St., Lansing, MI 48917 on Friday, October 23. All participants in the 5k, excluding the kids run, will receive a Día de los Muertos finisher medal and T shirt.
