Capital City Dia de Los Muertos 5k Run/Walk/Roll
The Capital City Día de los Muertos event in Lansing is a community run and celebration of the Day of the Dead tradition, held at Granger Meadows Park. Participants are encouraged to wear traditional Día de los Muertos face paint, flowers, and themed attire. The event includes a main 5K distance and a short kids run.

Registration details note a pre-registration option priced at $40 before October 16 that includes a Día de los Muertos T-shirt; later registration is $45 while T-shirts last. The kids run registration is $10; children who run receive a medal, bib, and goodie bag. Packet pick-up is available at the Footprints of Michigan office at 3010 W. Saint Joseph St., Lansing, MI.
The main 5K will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted live. Awards for the main event include a finisher medal and T-shirt; the kids run has its own finish items as noted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
