Event details
The New Year race takes place on January 3, 2026, at Mount Hope Park in Grand Ledge, Michigan (7419 E Mt Hope Hwy, 48837). The event is organized by US Road Running and includes three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the Half Marathon. All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration closes on January 3, 2026. The posted registration availability shows 60 spots remaining for each event.
Courses and race information
All courses use out-and-back loops that are repeated to reach each event distance: the 5K repeats the loop twice, the 10K repeats it four times, and the Half Marathon repeats its loop six times. The race has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The event provides finisher medals and has provisions for shirts, gear, costume recognition, series points, and awards.
