The event is organized by Tower Guard to raise funds for the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD); donations from Tower Guard 2026-2027 will go to the RCPD to support students' disability related needs.
Registration opens November 1, 2026 and closes March 21, 2027. Early pricing is $30 until March 21, after which entry is $35. MSU students receive a $5 discount. There is no race-day registration. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants by March 21 and are available after that date while supplies last. Team pricing applies for groups of five or more with a $5 discount per participant; family pricing applies for three or more household members with a $3 discount per participant (family pricing is not valid for MSU students).
The timed event covers 3.1 Miles and starts and finishes at Conrad/Fee Hall in the East Neighborhood courtyard. Finishers receive medals and awards are given to each participant.
Event amenities include music, complimentary food and drinks, raffle prizes from local businesses, and tours of Beaumont Tower. An appearance by Sparty is planned but depends on March Madness scheduling. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
