US Road Running - DeLand
The Eagle running event takes place in DeLand, Florida, at 2100 Fatio Road. Managed by US Road Running, this race offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from on an out-and-back course layout.
The competition features the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
The course for the 5K and 10K is based on a 0.78-mile segment. Runners completing the 5K distance must finish the out-and-back circuit twice. Those participating in the 10K cover the same out-and-back layout four times. The Half Marathon uses a different 1.09-mile segment, requiring runners to complete an out-and-back loop six times to reach the total distance.
A time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants. Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the start location shortly before the event begins.
Parking at the primary start location is limited. Additional overflow parking is available approximately 0.50 miles away. All participants who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal. The event also features a best costume competition and awards for various categories.
