Event overview
The Medal Madness event takes place on January 31, 2026, at Lake Beresford Park in Deland, Florida (2100 Fatio Rd, Deland, FL 32720). The event includes the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Courses and logistics
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back segment of 1.56 miles. The 5K completes that out-and-back two times; the 10K completes it four times. The half marathon uses an out-and-back segment of 2.18 miles and completes that segment six times. The overall course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Parking at the start location is limited. Overflow parking is available about 0.50 miles away; participants are asked to allow time to get to the start if they use overflow parking. Packet pickup and other race-day procedures are noted by the organizer. Finisher medals, event shirts and gear, a best costume feature, series points, and awards are part of the event offerings.
