Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, features a series of races held at 1151 S Park Street. This event includes three distinct distances as part of a recurring race series:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Participants assemble at the pavilion located next to the playground for the start of the event. All runners are required to complete their registration online prior to the race, as there is no registration available on-site. Packet pickup is scheduled at the venue shortly before the event begins.
Course Layout
The 5K and 10K participants utilize an out-and-back course that measures 1.56 miles for one complete loop. Runners in the 5K event complete this loop twice, while those in the 10K complete it four times.
The Half Marathon follows a different out-and-back layout, with a total loop distance of 2.18 miles. Half marathon runners must complete this loop six times to finish the race. A total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is established for all distances.
Participation and Awards
Every participant who completes the race receives a finisher medal. While not mandatory, runners have the option to compete in costume. A group photograph is taken at the start of the race, and a prize is awarded for the best costume. Results from these races contribute to an ongoing series point system.
