Summer Sizzler - Tulsa
The Summer Sizzler is a multi-distance running event held at Turkey Mountain Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This annual event takes place in August and offers several organized road races and activities for different age groups and preferences.
The event features several timed race distances and shorter untimed options:
- 15K (9.3 miles) timed race.
- 10K (6.2 miles) timed race.
- 5K (3.1 miles) timed race.
- 1 Mile untimed run.
- Kids Dash 50m sprint for participants aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Race option for those participating from a remote location.
Participants in the 5K, 10K, and 15K receive chip-timing with live results, a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile participants receive a bib, shirt, and medal but are not timed. The Kids Dash includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a specific medal. Children may also participate in the dash for free if they do not require the event apparel and medal.
The event includes amenities such as free race photos, Kona Ice, and treats at the finish line. Registration is open with specific pricing for youth participants and incentives for groups. Participants who register as part of a team may receive partial refunds once the team reaches a minimum of four or ten members.
