Gobbler 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The US Road Running event in Gadsden, Alabama, takes place at James Martin Trail Park, located directly behind the Gadsden Mall. This racing event features three different distances on a surface consisting of pea gravel trails.
Participants can choose from the following course distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
The 5K and 10K events use a 1.56-mile out-and-back course. Runners in the 5K complete this loop twice, while those in the 10K complete it four times. The Half Marathon utilizes a separate 3.18-mile out-and-back course, which participants must complete six times to reach the full distance.
All participants are required to register through RunSignup, as there is no on-site registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is scheduled at the race location beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the runs. All participants have a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete their chosen distance. Everyone who finishes the race receives a finisher medal.
