Event overview
The Medal Madness event is scheduled for September 26, 2026, at James Martin Trail Park, 829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901. Distances offered are:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1M (Half Marathon)
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race starts. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Course and logistics
The courses run on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall. The listing notes a possible GPS issue that may route to a small building on Old S 4th Street; if so, attendees should go south on Old S 4th Street and turn right into the parking lot to reach the park.
Course details as provided:
- 5K & 10K Course (0.78M): the out-and-back is 1.56M; the 5K uses the out-and-back two times; the 10K uses it four times.
- Half Marathon Course (1.09M): the out-and-back is 3.18M; the Half Marathon uses the out-and-back six times.
