Event details
The Medal Madness event takes place on June 27, 2026, in Gadsden, Alabama at James Martin Trail Park (829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1M)
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race start.
Course and logistics
Courses are on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall. GPS may direct participants to a small building on Old S 4th Street; if so, the directions note to go south on Old S 4th Street and turn right into the parking lot.
The 5K and 10K use a segment listed as 0.78 miles (1.56 miles out-and-back). The 5K completes that out-and-back twice and the 10K four times. A 15K is described as six repetitions of the same out-and-back. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile segment (3.18 miles out-and-back) and repeats that out-and-back six times.
