Viking 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon in Gadsden, AL
The event takes place on February 28, 2026 at James Martin Trail Park in Gadsden, Alabama. The course runs on a pea gravel trail located just behind the Gadsden Mall. Organizers note that some GPS devices may direct drivers to a small building on Old S 4th Street; in that case follow the parking lot driveway south onto Old S 4 Street and turn right.
Distances offered:
- 5K: two out and back repeats of a 0.78 mile segment
- 10K: four out and back repeats of a 0.78 mile segment
- Half Marathon: six out and back repeats of a 1.09 mile segment
Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the start. All participants must register online via RunSignup; there is no on site registration. The course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes. The event includes finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume recognition, and awards as part of the race offerings.
