Chief Ladiga 100
The Chief Ladiga 100 is a trail run held in Jacksonville, Alabama. The event is scheduled for April 11, 2026. Participants run on the country's longest paved trail, experiencing wetlands, streams, forests, farmlands, and mountain views.
The event features four race distances:
- 100 Miler
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The 100-mile course is an out-and-back route. Runners go from Jacksonville, Alabama, to Nathan Dean Park in Rockmart, Georgia, and return. The course has a total elevation gain and loss of approximately 3,500 feet. Aid stations are spaced no more than 8 miles apart. Crews can access most aid stations.
The 50-mile race runs from Germania Springs to the state line and back to Jacksonville. The 50K is a point-to-point race starting at the state line. The half marathon is a point-to-point race from the Eubanks Welcome Center in Piedmont to Jacksonville. All races start at the same time.
A shuttle service is available for the 50K start for an additional fee. All participants receive a t-shirt. Finishers of the 100-mile race receive a buckle or finisher medal. The event finish area features food, beverages, and music.
The event headquarters and 100-mile start/finish is the Jacksonville Community Center. The city is accessible from Interstate 20, roughly an hour's drive from both Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. Various hotel accommodations are available nearby.
