Chief Ladiga 100 : Jacksonville, AL
The event offers multiple distance options on the Chief Ladiga Trail near Jacksonville, Alabama. Courses use smooth paved trail sections and nearby trail segments that pass wetlands, streams, forests, and farmland. The 100 mile route runs out to Nathan Dean Park in Rockmart, Georgia and returns to the Jacksonville Community Center to complete the full distance.
Aid stations are spaced at intervals no greater than eight miles. There are 14 aid stations along the longer course, and crews can access most of them. Total elevation gain and loss for the full course is around 3,500 feet. The 100 mile race has a 32 hour cutoff. Food, beverages, and music are provided at the finish area. All entrants receive an event shirt and finishers receive a buckle or finisher medal.
Travel notes state Jacksonville sits between Atlanta and Birmingham off I 20, with roughly one hour drive time from either city. Shuttle service is available for some point to point races for a fee listed in the event store.
