Chief Ladiga 100 - April 11, 2026
The Chief Ladiga 100 takes place in Jacksonville, Alabama on April 11, 2026. The event includes multiple distances:
- 100 Mile
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The 100 mile is an out and back on a paved trail from Jacksonville to Nathan Dean Park in Rockmart, Georgia and back to the Jacksonville Community Center. The route runs on the country’s longest paved trail and passes wetlands, streams, forests, farmlands, and a mountain horizon. Total elevation gain and loss is about 3,500 feet. Aid stations are placed no more than 8 miles apart; there are 14 aid stations and crews can access all but two of them. The 100 mile field has a 32 hour cutoff.
The 50 mile course runs from Germania Springs to the state line and returns to Jacksonville. The 50K is a point to point from the state line; Esom Hill is about a 30 minute drive from Jacksonville and serves as a start area for that race. The half marathon is a point to point from Eubanks Welcome Center in Piedmont to the Jacksonville Community Center. A shuttle option is available for a fee.
Registration for the event closes April 5 at 11:59 PM CT. The finish area includes food, beverages, and music. All entrants receive a T shirt and finishers receive a buckle or finisher medal.
Jacksonville is situated between Atlanta and Birmingham off I-20, with about a one hour drive from either city and multiple local lodging options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
