Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Knoxville, Tennessee, features a series of road races centered around Shelter #1 at Holston Hills Road. Participants can choose from three distinct distances:

- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
The event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, where participants can earn points. Registration is handled exclusively through RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location shortly before the start.
Course Information
The competition utilizes an out-and-back course format. For the 5K and 10K, the route is based on a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop. Runners in the 5K complete this loop twice, while those in the 10K complete it four times.
The Half Marathon follows a different out-and-back route measuring 2.18 miles. Participants in this distance are required to complete the loop six times to reach the total distance of 13.1 miles. There is a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants.
Recognition and Rewards
Every finisher receives a themed medal upon completion of the course. While the event is a competitive race, it also features a costume contest. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photograph is taken at the start of the event to determine the winner for the best costume category.
