Urban Wilderness 50k
The Urban Wilderness 50k is a trail race in south Knoxville held on October 10 as the inaugural edition. The main course covers about 31 miles and includes nearly 4,000 ft of elevation gain. The route is laid out as a continuous passage with no repeated loops.
Terrain includes flowy singletrack, technical rock sections, double track, and short road connectors. Runners should expect frequent climbing and sections that require careful footing. Aid stations are placed throughout the course to provide support during the event.
The event also offers a shorter 7 Miler option and includes race day packet pickup and check in, with late packet pickup available. Organizers publish a final cutoff for the 50k and schedule multiple race-day checkpoints to manage the course.
