Event details
The Luau 5K & Half Marathon takes place at Hickory City Park in Hickory, North Carolina. The starting line is located across the street from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW (1581 12th St Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601). Parking and restrooms are located at the Trailhead. All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The event awards points toward the US Road Running Race Series.

The event includes these distances:

- Half Marathon
The 5K uses an out-and-back segment of 0.78 miles, run twice to complete the course. The half marathon uses an out-and-back segment of 1.09 miles, run six times to complete the distance. The course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race begins. All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. A best costume prize is selected, and a group photo is taken at the beginning of each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
