US Road Running - Hickory

Luau 5K and 13.1M at Hickory, NC (18)
This event takes place on May 2, 2026 in Hickory, North Carolina, with the meeting area at 1581 12th St Dr NW. Registration is required through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Parking and restrooms are located at the Trailhead. Registration and the starting area are north of the VFW, across from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW.
Course layouts use short out and back segments repeated to form each race. Distances offered include:
- 5K: out and back segment 0.78 miles, repeated twice.
- Half Marathon: 1.09 mile one way (2.18 mile out and back), repeated six times.
A course time limit is set at 3 hours 30 minutes. All finishers will receive a themed finisher medal. Participants are encouraged but not required to wear costumes; a group photo is taken at the start of each race and a best costume award is given at the start. The event awards points toward the US Road Running Race Series and follows that series' awards and FAQ procedures. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
