Event Overview
The Medal Madness event is a multi-distance road race taking place at Gemini Springs Park in DeBary, Florida. Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon distance, all run on a concrete surface. The overall time limit for the course is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Course Details
The courses follow out-and-back routes.
- The 5K and 10K share a 1.56-mile out-and-back segment (3.11 miles total). The 5K completes this route once, while the 10K completes it twice.
- The Half Marathon uses a 1.64-mile out-and-back segment (3.28 miles total), which is completed four times for the full distance.
Location & Logistics
The start/finish line and check-in are located at the O.K. Corral shelter within the park. Participants should enter Gemini Springs Park from Dirksen Drive, turn right at the first stop sign, and park in the West Parking loop. If West Parking is full, signs will direct participants to East Parking. Restrooms are situated on the opposite side of West Parking from the O.K. Corral shelter, beyond the playground.
