US Road Running - Temple
The US Road Running event in Temple, Texas, features a series of road races held at Wilson Park. This athletic gathering is part of the US Road Running Race Series and is open to the public, with no club membership required for participation. The event takes place on an established course starting near the Wilson Park Recreation Center.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K: An out-and-back course completed one time.
- 10K: An out-and-back course completed two times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back course completed four times.
The 5K and 10K utilize a 3.11-mile out-and-back layout, while the Half Marathon follows a slightly adjusted 3.28-mile out-and-back circuit. All participants must follow a specific course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no on-site registration available. Packet pickup is scheduled at the race location shortly before the start. Finishers receive a themed medal, and participants have the option to engage in a best costume competition. Points from these races contribute to the overall series standings.
