Event overview
The Viking race takes place on February 21, 2026, at Crossroads Recreational Complex in Temple, TX 76502. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1M)
- Marathon (26.2M)
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Course and logistics
All courses are paved and use out-and-back layouts. The 5K follows the course one time and the 10K follows it twice. The half marathon repeats a 1.64-mile segment four times and the marathon repeats that segment eight times. The overall course time limit is 6 hours.
Bathrooms are located behind the tennis court. Parking is available in the lot by the Crossroads Tennis Courts off Prairie View Road.
Awards and extras
All finishers receive a themed medal. The race awards a best-costume prize; participants are encouraged to wear costumes and a group photo is taken at the start of each race. The event earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series and follows that series’ awards and FAQ information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
