Event overview
The Medal Madness event takes place on January 17, 2026, at Crossroads Recreational Complex in Temple, TX. The event includes the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
Entry fees are listed per event: the 5K is $30, the 10K is $45, the Half Marathon is $65, and the Marathon is $90. Registration is handled on RunSignup and there is no on-site registration. Registration closes on January 17, 2026.
Course and logistics
All courses are paved and use out-and-back loops. The 5K course is run once and the 10K course is run twice. The Half Marathon course uses a loop that is run four times and the Marathon runs that same loop eight times. The event has a six-hour course time limit.
Packet pickup is available before the race and closes shortly before the start. Bathrooms are located behind the tennis court. Parking is available in the lot by the Crossroads Tennis Courts, off Prairie View Road.
All finishers receive a themed medal. A group photo is taken at the beginning of each race and a best-costume award is given at that time. The race earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
