The Viking 5K, 10K & Half Marathon takes place on February 28, 2026, at Clawson-Burnley Park in Boone, NC (355 M.L.K. Jr. St, Boone, NC 28607). The event includes the following distances:

- 10K
- Half Marathon
All participants must register online through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Finisher medals are provided. A shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards are part of the event program. Courses and format
The 5K and 10K use the same out-and-back course. The 5K completes that out-and-back once; the 10K completes it twice. The Half Marathon uses a separate out-and-back course and is run four times to complete the distance. Course maps are provided by the organizer. A contact form is available for race questions.
