Event Overview
US Road Running organizes a recurring race series in Charlotte, North Carolina, featuring a selection of popular road race distances. The event is hosted at the Mallard Creek Playground, located directly across from Mallard Creek Elementary School. Participants can choose from three distinct race lengths:
- 5K: A single out and back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two laps of the out and back course.
- Half Marathon: Four laps of a 1.64-mile out and back course.
The courses for all distances follow an out and back format. A specific topographical feature of this route is a hill located at the start and finish line area. All participants must adhere to a cumulative course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Participant Information
Race logistics require all participants to register through the designated online platform prior to the event, as no on-site registration is available. Packet pickup is conducted at the start location shortly before the race begins.
All runners who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal. In addition to the competitive aspects of the run, the event encourages participation in a best costume category. Those involved in the race are also eligible to earn points toward a broader series standing.
