SwimMAC Running Into Summer 5K
SwimMAC Running Into Summer 5K takes place on May 23, 2026 at McAlpine Creek Park, Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. The event is organized by SwimMAC, a youth-sports non-profit that runs local swim instruction programs.
Distances offered:
- 5K: bib, timing chip, shirt and finisher medal
- Fun Run (0.4 mile): bib and shirt, no winner awards
The 5K will present awards to the fastest boys and girls in these youth age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. There will also be age group awards for adults and masters. An on-site DJ is planned for the morning and participants receive event shirts and bibs.
The event supports SwimMAC's local work teaching swim lessons; the organization reports providing roughly 15,000 lessons annually. A fundraising entry lists Mecklenburg Aquatic Club with a current amount raised and a fundraising goal.
Registration categories include the 5K, the Fun Run, and a Sleep In Supporter option. Fees vary by registration date. Registration is nonrefundable unless the Refund Protection Program is purchased.
