Griffin Pond Animal Shelter Rescue Run
The Griffin Pond Animal Shelter Rescue Run is set for August 23, 2026, at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Olive Street Trailhead in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The event takes place along the trail and uses the Olive Street Pavilion area for event activities.
The program includes multiple course options:
- 5K Run (registration fee $30)
- 10K Run (registration fee $35)
- 2 Mile Fun Walk (registration fee $30)
Registration opens May 25 and closes August 20. Preregistered participants and those who register by August 16 will receive a Rescue Run T-shirt.
All proceeds benefit Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. Funds will help provide food, medical care, shelter, and placement support for dogs and cats served by the shelter.
Dogs are welcome at the event, but participants are asked to keep dogs on a leash and to be mindful of other participants.
