Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race (GMTR)
The Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race is a single lap, 13 km race on multi terrain near Grewelthorpe, Ripon, North Yorkshire. The course is undulating and climbs above then descends back into the Dales village, finishing just outside the village. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs and is run under a race licence status of Not Applicable. Entry is limited to 139 places.
Race headquarters and registration are at St James & Methodist Church, Grewelthorpe (HG4 3BH). Facilities at the event include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; there are no showers. At the finish line runners are served bananas, and the village hall provides free soup and flapjacks. Registration and prize giving take place in the village hall, where a volunteer run cafe offers home cooked soup, sandwiches, cakes and drinks during the event.
Entry fees listed are £17.00 for affiliated runners and £19.00 for unaffiliated runners, with an additional charge of £2.00 for entry on the day if places remain available.
