Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race (GMTR) : 11 October 2026
The Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race is a single lap, multi terrain event around the village of Grewelthorpe near Masham, Ripon, North Yorkshire. The course covers a distance of 13 km, follows an undulating profile and includes climbs above then descents back into the village. The race is a one-lap route and the race licence is listed as not applicable. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry is limited to 139 places. Entry fees are stated as £17.00 for affiliated runners and £19.00 for unaffiliated runners. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an additional £2.00.
Race headquarters are at St James & Methodist Church, Grewelthorpe, Ripon HG4 3BH. Facilities at the event include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; there are no showers. Runners are offered bananas at the finish line, and free soup and flapjacks are served at the Village Hall. Registration and prize giving take place at the Village Hall, where a volunteer run cafe provides home cooked soup, sandwiches, cakes and drinks during the event.
