Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race (GMTR)
Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race (GMTR) takes place on Sunday 11 October 2026 in Grewelthorpe, Ripon, North Yorkshire. The event is a single lap multi terrain race that runs through the local countryside near Masham.
The course covers 13 kilometres on an undulating route. The route climbs above and then descends back into the Dales village of Grewelthorpe and finishes just outside the village. The race is one lap and is not suitable for wheelchairs. A route map is provided by the organiser.
Race headquarters are at St James & Methodist Church, Grewelthorpe, HG4 3BH, United Kingdom. On course and event facilities include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; there are no showers. Runners are given bananas at the finish and are offered free soup and flapjacks at the Village Hall. Registration and prize giving are also held at the Village Hall, where additional toilet facilities and a volunteer run cafe serve home cooked soup, sandwiches, cakes and drinks during the event.
Entry is limited to 139 places with 102 places remaining at the time of listing. Entry fees are £17 for affiliated runners and £19 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is available for an additional £2 if the event has not sold out. The race licence is not applicable.
