About the race
This fell running race takes place as part of the Reeth Show. The course is a single distance of 2.0 miles (3.2 km) with 700 feet (220 meters) of climb. The event is a counter for the BOFRA (British Open Fell Runners Association) Championship.
Route
The race starts in fields before following a narrow track through bracken. Runners cross a road and ascend the rough fellside to Fremington Edge, where a flag typically marks the summit. The descent follows through old quarry workings before crossing the road again. The final section is a dash through fields back to the showfield, finishing with a circuit of the show ring.
