About the race
The Greg Shank Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place on July 3, 2027 at American Legion Post 202, 400 American Legion Ave., Williamsport, MD 21795. The event is organized as a 5K run/walk with a posted course map for participants. Entry cost is $25 for those pre-registered by Wednesday, June 18, 2027 and $30 after that date. All participants who pre-register by June 18 will receive an event t-shirt.
Online registration closes Thursday, July 1, 2027 at 5 PM. River water will be provided for all adult participants after the race. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 12 and Under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 and Over.
Awards and t-shirts must be collected in person. There are no refunds and the event will be held rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the Greg Shank Memorial Scholarship Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
