Greg Shank Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The Greg Shank Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place in Williamsport, Maryland. This memorial event serves as a tribute to a local community member and functions as a fundraiser for a scholarship fund. The course starts and finishes near the pavilion at the American Legion Post 202, located at 400 American Legion Avenue.

The registration fee is set at a fixed rate for those who sign up by the mid-June deadline. Participants who complete their registration before this date are guaranteed an event t-shirt. The event operates regardless of weather conditions, and registration fees are non-refundable.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall. Additionally, the event recognizes the top two male and female finishers across a wide range of age groups. These categories include youth divisions starting at 12 and under, and progress through various five-year increments up to a category for participants aged 70 and over. To receive an award or a t-shirt, participants are required to be present at the venue. All proceeds from the event are directed toward a memorial scholarship fund.
