Doc Trot 5K event overview
The Doc Trot 5K takes place on March 21, 2026 at the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine in Hagerstown, Maryland. It is the inaugural 5K race established to benefit the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine and to support medical education, health, and wellness in the community.
This community-focused event directs proceeds toward potential scholarship opportunities for future physicians. The course runs around the medical campus and is described as scenic; participants of all ages and abilities may run or walk while contributing to fundraising for the school.
Race entries include an official Doc Trot 5K race t-shirt, a custom race bib, professional timing with live results and a finish line video provided by Racine MultiSports, and custom podium awards for top finishers. The event is presented as a family-friendly experience that highlights community health and engagement.
Awards are given to overall finishers in the Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories. Age-group awards are given to first-place finishers in Male and Female categories across the following brackets: Ages 10 and under; 11-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 plus.
