The Gingerbread Dash is a holiday 5K event held in downtown Hagerstown that benefits Girls on the Run Mid Maryland. The event is presented as both an in-person and a virtual 5K and is open to the public. Start and finish take place at Meritus Park, also described as the Flying Boxcar stadium, with the venue listed as 50 W Baltimore St, Hagerstown, MD.
The event is organized as a family-oriented, accessible activity where participants may run, walk, or roll the course. Each registrant receives an event t-shirt and a medal; registrants must register before November 13, 2026 to receive a preferred shirt size. Event merchandise is mailed only to virtual registrants. A companion race, the Candy Cane Dash, offers linking medals for participants who complete both events.

The event notes support from Meritus Park and indicates there is no on-site parking; municipal parking is available nearby and is free on Sundays. An early packet pickup at the Girls on the Run office is scheduled prior to the event and race day packet pickup will be available at the west gate.
