GTC Green Valley Road Race
The Green Valley Road Race celebrates its 50th edition in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. The event is hosted at Trailblazer Park, a venue equipped with a pavilion for shelter and restrooms with plumbing. Organized by the Greenville Track Club, the races feature accurately measured and well-marked courses.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 10 Miles: A hilly loop course designed to incorporate roads with lower traffic volumes.
- 5 Miles: A point to point course reintroduced specifically for the 50th anniversary.
A 2.5 hour time limit is in place for the 10 mile distance, while the 5 mile distance has a 2 hour time limit. For the point to point 5 mile race, optional transportation to the start line is included in the registration fee.
Following the event, awards are presented to participants. The location in Travelers Rest provides proximity to local dining options such as Tandem, Farmhouse Tacos, and Sidewall Pizza.
