2025 Sugar Rush Relay

The Sugar Rush Relay is a long distance event held in Sugar Land, Texas. Participants navigate a 5 mile loop that starts and finishes at Talyard Brewing Co. The course leads runners along Oyster Creek, passes the Imperial Sugar Mill and Constellation Field Stadium, and includes an aid station located at Old Kempner Stadium.

The event features two primary divisions:

  • 75 Mile Relay Run: Teams of 1 to 5 runners complete 15 laps total.
  • 75 Mile Relay Ruck: Teams of 1 to 5 participants carry weighted rucksacks for the full distance.

In the relay format, teammates can exchange at the start line or at the midway aid station. The event is open to men's, women's, and co-ed teams, while solo participants are also permitted to enter.

The rucking division has specific weight requirements. Participants weighing over 150 lbs must carry a minimum of 30 lbs, while those under 150 lbs must carry at least 20 lbs. This weight applies only to the ruck contents and does not include the rucksack or water. All rucking participants must undergo a weigh-in during team check-in. Only rucksacks are permitted, as weighted vests are not allowed for this division. Following the event, food and craft beer are available at the brewery location.
