Bigfoot Running Company - Houston
The event is scheduled for November and takes place at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, Texas. The course may include pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths.
The available distances are:
- Kids Dash: Approximately 50 meters for children 10 and under. It is untimed and includes a t-shirt, medal, and recognition pin.
- 1 Mile: An untimed run that includes a t-shirt and medal.
- 5K (3.11 miles): A chip-timed race.
- 10K (6.22 miles): A chip-timed race.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: A limited option to volunteer before running the 5K.
- Virtual Run: An option to participate remotely.
All finishers receive a medal and an event t-shirt. The 5K and 10K races offer awards for overall male and female winners, masters winners (age 40+), and age group winners from 10 & under to 70+. Youth pricing is available for the 5K and 10K for participants 12 and under.
A Thanksgiving-themed costume contest is held, with a prize package for the winner. A DJ provides music during the event. Snacks and refreshments are available at the finish area, and aid stations are located on the course.
