Greek Peak Running Festival
The Greek Peak Running Festival takes place at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, New York on the weekend of September 12-13, 2026. It presents a collection of trail running events across the mountain resort and nearby woodland paths.
Courses run on mountain trails with repeated climbs and descents and include sections through scenic woodland. The festival is presented as a family-oriented event with activities at the resort such as a mountain coaster and an indoor waterpark. Food and beverage service is available at Trax Pub & Grill, which has a large outdoor deck at the base of the mountain.
Distances and event types include:
- 25k: 25 km mountain trail with multiple climbs and descents; course TBD.
- 10k: Two loops of a 5k course; not flat; at least one water stop.
- 5k: Mountain-ish 5k; not flat; at least one water stop.
- Uphill 1k: Straight up the resort's steepest slope; 1 km, about 1,000 feet elevation.
- Doggo 5k: Canicross-style 5k; dogs leashed; muzzles allowed; flexi leashes prohibited.
- Night Time 10k: Same as day 10k held at night; headlamp required.
- Night Time 5k: Same as day 5k held at night; headlamp required.
- 1 Mile Kids Run: Well-marked course; children 12 and under run free.
