Virgil Crest Ultras : Cortland, NY
Virgil Crest Ultras is a multi-distance trail running event held near Cortland, New York on September 12, 2026. The event lists multiple course options and a relay, and registration closes Thursday, September 10 at 11:59 PM ET.
The course includes steep ascents and descents, significant cumulative elevation gain and loss, technical singletrack, and scenic ridge cresting at sunrise. Policies and support: 100 mile entrants may have pacers at or after 50 miles or at nightfall. Poles are permitted for all entrants; poles left at aid stations must fit in a drop bag for transport. The start/finish area is crew accessible, and organizers expect at least one additional crew accessible station on course. If a runner drops to a shorter distance they will receive an unofficial finish time for that distance.
