Run For Gold 5K
Run For Gold is a 5K road and campground race held at Spruce Row Campground near Ithaca, NY. The course begins at the pavilion, follows the main drive through the campground onto Kraft Rd, continues to the Black Diamond Trail entrance, then turns onto Agard Rd where a Half Way Hydration Station is located. Runners follow Willowcreek Rd back toward Kraft Rd and finish by reentering the campground on an uphill approach.
The event supports T-Burg Takes on Pediatric Cancer and takes place during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Christopher's Challenge, a not-for-profit organization, will be onsite to provide information, raise awareness, and type potential bone marrow donors ages 18 to 55.
Prizes include an engraved Yeti water bottle for 1st place overall and medals for 1st through 3rd in each age group. Age groups are 1-10, 11-14, 15-24, 25-40, and 41+. Registration fee is $25; registration opens on 2026-04-01 and closes on 2026-09-19. New 2026 t-shirts are available for the first 100 participants.
Onsite amenities and logistics: parking will be directed by signs and parking attendants, the campground speed limit is 5 MPH, snacks such as fruit and protein bars are provided free, breakfast and lunch details are to be determined, and Garrett's Brewing will provide drinks with beer sold by the vendor.
