Run For Gold 5K
Run For Gold 5K takes place on September 20, 2026 at Spruce Row Campground, 2271 Kraft Rd, Ithaca, NY. The course begins at the pavilion in the campground, follows the main drive until exiting onto Kraft Rd, continues to the entrance of the Black Diamond Trail, turns onto Agard Rd where a Half Way Hydration Station is located, then follows Willowcreek Rd back toward the bottom of the Kraft Rd hill and finishes back in the campground. The finish area includes cold beverages.
Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026; the registration fee is $25.00. New 2026 t-shirts are available for the first 100 participants. Parking is directed by signs from the road through the campground to parking attendants. The speed limit inside Spruce Row Campground is 5MPH.
On-site food and drink details include free breakfast, lunch provided by Fall's Restaurant & Catering, free fruit and protein bar snacks, and drinks supplied by Garrett's Brewing with beer purchased directly from that vendor. Awards include a metal engraved yeti water bottle for 1st place overall and medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each age group. Age groups are 1-10, 11-14, 15-24, 25-40, and 41+. Christopher's Challenge will be present to educate, raise awareness, and type potential bone marrow donors ages 18-55. The event supports T-Burg Takes on Pediatric Cancer, a nonprofit that raises funds to support New York families dealing with childhood cancer.
