Run For Gold 5K event details
The Run For Gold 5K takes place on September 20, 2026 at Spruce Row Campground and nearby roads near 2271 Kraft Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850. The distance is 3.1 Miles and the course begins at the campground pavilion, follows the main drive, exits onto Kraft Rd, continues to the Black Diamond Trail entrance, then turns onto Agard Rd and Willowcreek Rd before returning to the campground for a finish on a hill.
A hydration station is located on Agard Rd at the halfway point. The finish area is described as returning into the campground with spectators and cold beverages. The speed limit inside Spruce Row Campground is 5 MPH and parking will be directed by signs and attendants.
Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00.
Awards include an engraved yeti water bottle for 1st place overall and metal awards for 1st through 3rd place in each age group. Age groups are 1-10, 11-14, 15-24, 25-40, and 41+.
Onsite provisions and partners include breakfast and lunch details to be determined with free snacks of fruit and protein bars, drinks from Garrett's Brewing with beer purchased directly from the vendor, and Christopher's Challenge offering education and bone marrow donor typing for ages 18 to 55.
