Great Pumpkin Chase - Albuquerque
The Great Pumpkin Chase is the 23rd annual fall running event held in Albuquerque at Rio Grande Park and the nearby Country Club neighborhood. The event offers a mix of in-person and virtual options and features timed races, a non-timed fun dash, and a kids race.

- 10K (two loops of the 5K course)
- 5K
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids K (1K)
- Inflatable Costume Mad Dash (100 yards, untimed fun run)
- Virtual Run
Race services and amenities include official race logo shirts, finisher medals, professional chip timing attached to disposable bib tags, finish-line refreshments, and water and Powerade stations along the course. Free downloadable event photos will be available and overall and age-group awards are presented. A Best Costume Contest is part of the event, and the Inflatable Costume Mad Dash requires participants to register and sign a liability waiver.
Logistics noted by the organizer include a packet pickup on the day before the event at a local Fleet Feet Sports location, designated parking areas, portable toilets near the start/finish, course marshals and medical personnel along the route, and rules requiring visible bibs with timing devices for official results.
