Twilight 10 Trail Run
The Twilight 10 Trail Run is a night trail race on October 24, 2026 at Oak Flats in the Cedro trail system of the Cibola National Forest. The course is approximately 9.97 miles with about 974 feet of elevation gain and 994 feet of descent. Organizers describe the route as runnable and note Pine Loop, nicknamed "Cedro's Ghost," as a prominent singletrack feature.
The route follows a sequence of named trails: runners go north to the Mahogany/Another Juan intersection for an out-and-back, then proceed onto Poker Chip and Gambel Oak, connect to Pine Loop, turn onto Deadman's trail, climb back via Easy Pickin', and finish at the Oak Flats Picnic Ground parking lot.
Safety and logistics notes are explicit. A headlamp or other approved light source is required and must be shown at mandatory check in; cell phone lights are not accepted as the primary light. Two limited aid stations provide water only, so participants must carry their own nutrition. Volunteers, reflective flags, and course signage will be in place; a cell phone is recommended because there is cell service in the area. Runners who leave the course must notify a volunteer and follow up with race staff so search and rescue is not engaged unnecessarily. Volunteers may remove runners from the course for safety reasons.
A course map and GPX file are available, and packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Heart and Sole in Albuquerque. Food and drink will be provided at the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
