Great Noosa Trail Walk 2026
The Great Noosa Trail Walk is a self guided walking event through the Noosa Hinterland, held from Saturday 3 October to Monday 5 October 2026. It is presented as a relaxed, non competitive experience where participants travel independently along a clearly marked route with support from volunteer Trail Guides.
The main format is a three day walk covering approximately 56 km in total, spread across rolling hills, forests, and country towns known as Noosa Country. Luggage, including packed tents for campers, is transported daily between trail towns so walkers can carry minimal gear. Official event maps and daily route briefings are provided.
On route, selected morning and afternoon tea stops are hosted by local community groups and include local produce. Breakfast is provided by local communities on Sunday and Monday, and a packed lunch is provided on Sunday. Overnight locations include access to toilet and shower facilities and campground fees at official event campsites are included. Evenings offer light entertainment and optional community dinners available for an additional cost.
A one day option is available for those who prefer a shorter outing. Additional inclusions are bus transport to the start, an event buff, an official event photographer, and daily trail support from volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
