Event Overview
The Blackall100 is a trail running event held on October 17, 2026, in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast. It features three distances: 100 km, 50 km, and 21 km. The event starts and finishes at QCCC, 70 Obi Obi Rd.
Course and Terrain
The course traverses the Blackall Range, passing through vibrant ferny forests, subtropical rainforest, tall eucalypt trees, picturesque waterfalls, and quiet hinterland hamlets. It has strong ties to the local Indigenous tribe. The Blackall100 is a qualifying event for the Western States Endurance Run (WSER).
Entry Details
Entry fees vary by distance and timing:
- 100 km: Early Bird $450.00, Standard $480.00, Late Entry $510.00
- 50 km: Early Bird $290.00, Standard $320.00, Late Entry $350.00
- 21 km: Early Bird $195.00, Standard $225.00, Late Entry $255.00
All entries include an event shirt and a finishers memento. For 100 km and 50 km, a free shuttle bus is provided for supporters to certain checkpoints.
Mandatory Gear and Logistics
Participants must carry mandatory gear, including a mobile phone, water capacity, race bib, and other safety items specific to each distance. A drop bag service is available for runners without support crews.
Parking is at Mapleton Community Hall, 31 Obi Obi Rd. Race sign-in is on Friday, with presentations on Sunday. Accommodation is available at QCCC for the weekend.
Prizes
Prizes include trophies and cash for top male and female finishers in each distance. All finishers receive a Blackall100 Bell. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
