Blackall100 : Mapleton, Sunshine Coast (17 October 2026)
The Blackall100 is a trail running event staged from QCCC Mapleton in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It follows large sections of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk through forests, gullies and ridge lines, with varied views along the route. The event is a qualifying race for the Western States Endurance Run.
Distances offered:
- 100 km with listed elevation gain of 3290 m.
- 50 km with listed elevation gain of 1580 m.
- 21 km with listed elevation gain of 580 m.
Entry for each distance includes a Blackall100 event shirt and a finishers memento. The 100 km and 50 km provide shuttle bus access for supporters to designated checkpoints. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each race; first place prize money is stated for each distance.
Mandatory safety gear is specified for all races. Examples include a mobile phone with emergency contacts, course map, visible race bib, water-carrying capacity (1.5 L for longer races, 1 L for the 21 km), compression bandage and, where required, a hi-visibility vest and headlamp. Random gear checks may be conducted and time penalties can apply for missing items.
A checkpoint drop bag service is available with rules on size, weight and labelling. Run Queensland operates accommodation at QCCC Mapleton for the race weekend; accommodation is limited and includes meals, with a linen hire option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
