About the race
The Blackall100 is a trail running event based at QCCC Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It follows sections of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk through forests, gullies and ridge lines and is a qualifying event for the Western States Endurance Run.

- 100 km
- 50 km
- 21 km
Each course lists an elevation gain: 100 km 3290 m, 50 km 1580 m, 21 km 580 m. The event uses QCCC Mapleton as the race hub and start/finish location; parking is provided at Mapleton Community Hall with a short walk to the venue. Accommodation packages are available on site at QCCC and include meals; linen hire is optional.
Mandatory safety gear is required and may be checked during the race. Examples include a race bib, mobile phone with emergency contacts, course map, water carrying capacity (at least 1.5 L for longer events), compression bandage and emergency blanket. The 50 km and 100 km courses require additional items such as a headlamp and a hi visibility vest when specified. A no cups policy applies at checkpoints so runners should bring a personal cup.
Drop bag service is available at designated checkpoints with size and labelling rules and specific delivery times. Finishers receive a commemorative bell, a shirt and a finisher memento; podium prizes and time-based finisher categories are documented for each distance.
The weekend includes an Indigenous smoking ceremony at the race hub and food and music at the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
