Glass House Standing
The Glass House Standing is a unique Backyard Ultra running event held at the base of Wild Horse Mountain in the Glasshouse Mountains, Sunshine Coast, Australia. Participants race a challenging 6.7km loop every hour, aiming to complete each loop within the hour and return to the start before the next loop begins. The event tests endurance, resilience, and strategy, with the last runner to complete a loop alone declared the winner.
Beyond competition, the race supports the "Save Our Glasshouse Mountains" campaign, with profits aiding conservation efforts. The scenic course is marked with reflective tape and arrows, and mandatory gear includes a high-visibility vest and headlamp for night loops.
