Great Lakes Loons Pennant Race

The Loons Pennant Race takes place on August 14 at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan (825 E Main Street, Midland, MI 48642). The event combines community running and walking with attendance at a Great Lakes Loons baseball game; race entries include a complimentary lawn ticket for the Loons game against the South Bend Cubs during Grit Night, which has a Detroit Lions theme. The evening also coincides with Foodie Friday, featuring $2 hot dogs and $1 chips, ice cream sandwiches or sodas.

Event distances include:

• 1 Mile run
• 5K run
• 5K walk

Packet pick-up is scheduled the afternoon of August 14 outside Dow Diamond from 3:30-5PM. The race is held rain or shine. The Loons Pennant Race serves as the third race in the Midland Triple Challenge; a combined registration option covers the Triple 5K or the Triple 1 Mile Challenge and includes event swag with one registration.
