Grape Day 5k
Grape Day 5k is a community running event held at Grape Day Park in Escondido, California. The main distance is 5k and the route includes Grand Avenue and historic Escondido. The 2026 edition is presented as the 16th year and is scheduled for September 5, 2026.
The event offers both in person and virtual participation. Virtual participants may complete a personal 5k at a location and pace of their choice before the live event. If the event cannot be held in person, it will proceed as a virtual event and shirts and medals will be mailed to participants. Early packet pick up is to be determined.
Entry pricing is listed as an early bird rate of $35 through June 30, then $40 standard and $45 on race day. Prices include an entry, a t shirt, and a medal. Registration and bib pick up take place at Grape Day Park on race day.
Awards are given to the first three male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions include 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
The event benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Pacific South Coast Chapter and the Escondido Sunrise Rotary.
