About the race
The Granite Peaks Races, organized by the Northern Ireland Mountain Running Association, take place at Tollymore Forest Park, Bryansford, Northern Ireland. Scheduled for May 25, 2025, the event features three challenging mountain running distances: 80km, 50km, and 25km. Each race starts at Tollymore Outdoor Centre and follows routes that include forest trails, open mountain terrain, and the iconic Mourne Wall, with the courses looping through scenic areas such as Silent Valley, Slieve Binnian, and Slieve Donard before returning to Tollymore.
The 80k and 50k races serve as qualifiers for the Canfranc World Mountain Running Championships. Participants must carry mandatory safety kit, and the routes are marked and tracked for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
