Slieve Donard

The Slieve Donard Race is a challenging mountain running event held in Donard Forest Park on May 31, 2025. Covering a distance of 10 km with an ascent of 850 meters, the race demands good fitness levels and navigational skills, especially in variable weather conditions. The route starts at Newcastle Centre, follows the road to Donard Park, and includes checkpoints at Saddle Cairn, the summit, and Quarry Gate.
