The Cooley Half is a challenging mountain running event held in County Louth, Ireland, organized by the Irish Mountain Running Association. Covering a distance of 21.5 km with a climb of 790 meters, the race features a fully marked anticlockwise loop starting inside a forest barrier. The course includes fire roads, small tracks, trails, and open mountain running, passing landmarks such as G String Corner, Carnavaddy, Black Mountain, and the border between North and South.

The race finishes with a tarmac sprint to Lumpers Pub. Participants must carry mandatory safety gear, and the event promotes carpooling to ease parking. It is part of the Leinster Half-Marathon League. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
