Granite Island Run
The Granite Island Run is a running event in Victor Harbor on 16 August 2026 that features routes around Granite Island and along the nearby coast. The location is about a one hour drive from Adelaide and sits within the town’s maritime setting.
The courses use a mix of surfaces and features found on and around the island, including a causeway, tram lines, gravel trails and short, steep climbs. A section of stairs and a steep island climb make the long and short courses unsuitable for wheelchairs or prams. The Kids Dash crosses the causeway and is suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Runners in the long and short courses must be at least 12 years old on race day unless accompanied by an adult.
Distances:
- Long Course
- Short Course
- Kids Dash
Event services include electronic transponder timing with bib-mounted tags, a bag drop tent on the lawns in front of the Causeway Café that is not manned during the event, and nearby medical services. Race packs may be posted approximately three weeks prior, or collected from The Running Company during the specified pickup window. Entry and transfer policies include online registration closing the Thursday before race weekend with in-person entries available on race morning subject to additional fees, optional medals and engraving purchases, and a basic refund option up to four weeks before the event. Results are provisional until the Wednesday after race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
