Event overview

Granite Head Trails and Ales is a trail running event on October 10, 2026 at Granite Beach in Granite Bay, CA. The course runs through wooded areas with heritage oak trees and displays fall foliage. The route includes steep uphill dirt trails, a short sandy beach section with waterfront views of Folsom Lake, and sections that pass through granite rock gardens and granite boulders in the state park.

Packet pick-up is available the day before at Fleet Feet in Sacramento and on race day at Granite Beach; friends may pick up packets for participants. Registration opens January 12, 2026.

Amenities and policies

Race swag includes a gender-specific tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, a complimentary beer for participants age 21 or older, post-race fajitas, and non-alcoholic beverages. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable; there are no refunds or rollovers if the race is cancelled or the course is changed due to an act of nature.
